Possibly known by Netflix lovers for the Norwegian winter hit series "Hjem till hjul" ("Home till Christmas"), Røros in the Trøndelag area of Norway is a gem. On the UNESCO World Heritage list, the town with its gorgeous wooden buildings looks a bit different in summer. But the picturesque streets cannot be missed.
I visited Røros a day after driving over the wild Atlantic Ocean road, back in 2016. These photos were previously unpublished. I will be adding more photos of the Tydal landscape to this album soon.
The ravishing wild beauty of the Norwegian landscape already starts right outside the town, with a modest waterfall, crystal clear water and mountains calling.

Røros started as a copper mining town back in the second part of the 1600s. Leftovers from the mining are piled up in walkable hills just outside the town centre.

The "Mountain Town's Pride" - or Bergstadens Ziir - is the dominating church towering over Røros
