Facing the predictions of an almost snow-free Christmas a friend and I set out to find a proper winter in Vemdalen. About half a day driving north of Stockholm it features a national park, a Hollywood style waterfall setting and a wished for wonderland.

In wintertime the Sånfjället / Sonfjället National Park has limited access, as summer trails and roads have snowed over.
