With 1310 metres (4,298 ft) ASL Turbacz is the highest of the Gorce Mountains peaks in Southern Poland.
An easy autumn hike up to the top of this hill, with the Gorce Mountains being part of the larger Beskid range, gives nice sights and views on the surrounding area as far as the higher Tatra Mountains further south. The top of Turbacz itself is somewhat of an anti-climax, with views obscured by trees, but a nice milestone for mountain hikers.
