A 30-min drive or train ride north of the Hungarian capital of Budapest, lies Szentendre. It is a pittoresque town, building on its 1920s and 1930s legacy as a place of artists.
Today, the main street may seem what off with the many touristic souvenir shops, but take a slightly longer stroll through Szentendre and one can find its gems. A tasty one is the marzipan museum. From the surroundings of the central church, one has a nice view over the town and beyond.
