High up in Sweden lies a land that turns into a different planet when winter comes. The aurora borealis, the sunrise quickly flowing into sunset, the snow and temperatures far below zero degrees Celsius make Lapland and the Arctic Circle into an adventure beyond any expectations.

The frozen lake at Camp Alta in Kiruna offers not only fabulous backdrops ...
... it also has the most picturesquely located sauna I've ever been to.
Walk a bit from Camp Alta onto the frozen lake at night and if the skies are clear, the show can be magnificent.
